If you live in Playa del Carmen, you may have already heard about the Pase Playense. It's a free discount card for local businesses, launched by the city government, and Kiin Hub is now part of it.
Here's what it is, how it works, and why we joined.
What the Pase Playense is
The Pase Playense is a card, physical and digital, that gives you discounts and promotions at shops and services around the city. It's free for anyone who wants it, and the idea behind it is simple: keep local spending in Playa del Carmen, where it benefits the area's businesses, entrepreneurs and families.
The discounts cover everyday things: doctors' offices, labs, dentists, pharmacies, barbershops, stationery stores, schools and more. At launch there were already more than 150 benefits and around 75 participating brands, with a goal of reaching 100,000 users. The program runs through September 2027.
Why we joined
The idea behind the Pase Playense is the same one we care about at Kiin Hub: a local economy that holds itself up among those of us who live and work here. Every peso that stays in a local business supports a job, keeps a door open and strengthens the community that makes Playa what it is.
For a city growing this fast, buying local isn't a small detail. It's one of the most direct ways the area's families and businesses look after each other.

From now on, if you have your Pase Playense, you get a benefit when you use it at Kiin Hub. It's our way of opening the door to more locals looking for a place to work, focus or meet, and of adding coworking to the list of local services you can use with your pass.

How to get it
The Pase Playense is free. If you don't have it yet, you can sign up through the Playa del Carmen city government, in its physical or digital version. And once you have it, come by Kiin Hub in Playacar to use it.
